Forging is LIVE on App.axie! The Forge is a new Axie Core mechanic: Burn materials to mint and craft onchain consumables! Forging fees range from 1 USD to 5 USD paid in AXS, depending on item rarity.

The first available forgeable consumables are Super Cocochoco and Dark Flame! Super Cocochoco grants 15K AXP to the axie who eats it, and Dark Flame will help devolve a Stage 2 part back to Stage 1 (utility coming soon!). More details below.

This is an early build of the App.Axie Forge, and only holders of collectible axies over Level 30 can access the Super Cocochoco and Dark Flame Blueprints for now. However, users can list and trade these new consumables in the marketplace.

Forge Now

Forging is LIVE on App.axie! The Forge is a new Axie Core mechanic that introduces a new dimension to the Lunacian economy. Burn materials to craft new ones. In this early build, holders of collectible axies over Level 30 can forge Super Cocochoco and Dark Flame. This is just the beginning of the Forge, so stay tuned for more forgeable items and expanded access.

Super Cocochoco is a sweet chocolate treat with a decadent surprise filling, beloved by all axies.
Dark Flame is the inverse of an Atia Flame. It lulls axies into a deep slumber all the way from the Nightmareverse.

The Forge is a place on App.Axie where Lunacians unlock blueprints to burn, mint, and craft onchain items. Today, axies above lvl 30 can forge two consumables: Super Cocochoco and Dark Flame. Once blueprints are unlocked, you can forge up to 20 consumables, provided you have enough materials and 20 collectible axies (lvl 30 and above) as forgers. You can also forge a smaller quantity of consumables, and the forge will only require a proportional number of axies.

This adds a new layer of strategy and progression to the Axie universe, and helps balance part of the Lunacian economy. If everything goes according to plan, we’ll release more blueprints so that more Lunacians can participate in the future – and forge more items!

In the meantime, here are the two forgeable consumables available now:

Effect: Devolve a Stage 2 Part back to Stage 1 (Coming Soon)

Materials Required: 2 Premium Cocochocos, 100 Plant Mementos, 50 Aqua Mementos

Rarity: Common

Forging Fee: $1.50 paid in AXS

Important : Dark Flame can only be forged, stored and traded in the marketplace. Its true utility for devolution will be released in the coming weeks.

The Forge is first and foremost an Axie Core feature, which means it connects multiple dimensions of the Axie universe. That’s why collectible axies have different cooldown periods, and why the Forge costs a small amount of AXS. Think about it: the Forge grants new powers to collectible axies, reduces the amount of circulating AXS, and burns excess materials. It also creates a new treasury revenue stream. Here’s how these mechanics work:

When you forge a consumable, your axie enters a cooldown period during which time you cannot forge new items. This is pretty straightforward: the rarer the collectible, the shorter the cooldown period. The cooldown period applies at the axie level, and you can view this cooldown period when selecting the next forging task.

Currently, the blueprints for Super Cocochoco and Dark Flame require collectible axies at level 30 and above. In the future, we plan to add new blueprints with regular axies requirement and also introduce rare and mystic consumables.

Step 1: Go to App.Axie and open Axie Experiences menu

Step 2: Click on The Forge

Step 3: Select the blueprint for the item that you want to forge.

Step 4: Select the forger axies. Only the forger axies that meets the blueprint’s requirements will be shown here. Each axie can only forge one item at a time, so you will need one eligible forger axie for each item.

Note : Axie delegation will not transfer forging abilities from the manager to the scholar. Managers can still select delegated axies as forgers here; however, scholars will not be able to utilize them.

If it’s your first time forging, you will also be asked to approve the contract’s use of the required materials for forging.

Step 5: Once you selected the required number of forger axies and have the correct quantity of materials, click on Forge [X] items button and confirm the forging transaction with your wallet. Forging fee will be calculated based on the quantity and rarity level.

After a few seconds, you’ll get a confirmation message and the forged items will be sent to your wallet shortly.

In this first iteration, forging require existing on-chain items to create consumables. However, we have a much more expansive vision for the Forge’s future. In the future, players and collectors may be able to forge accessories in addition to consumables. Imagine using materials, other consumables, accessories, land items, and even SLP/AXS to forge and combine your assets!

The possibilities are endless, and this is just the beginning. Let the forging begin!
