Key Points

Axie Delegation is LIVE on App.axie! Delegate your NFT axies to other Lunacians — like scholarships. If everything goes according to plan, Axie Delegation will also be available in various Axie games around the end of the month. The Delegation Center is where you’ll manage delegated axies. Bulk delegate, revoke, and return them here.

Managers, Axie Delegation enables you to put your idle axies to work! Earn AXP to ascend and evolve faster. Scholars, Axie Delegation enables you to play with stronger axies and earn more rewards without buying new axies.

Axie Delegation will have unique implications for each game. Think about it: Origins has collectible axie rewards, Classic features Guilds, and Homeland uses both land plots and axies. That’s why we’ve shared an overview of each game’s early integration plans below. You’ll find a more detailed explanation in our support article here.

Delegate Axies Now

“Good day, manager!”

A few years ago, those three words echoed in Discord servers around the world. Axie Infinity was introducing Play-to-Earn to millions of gamers through a rental model with scholars and managers. It was electric. Today, we’re bringing it back with Axie Delegation!

Axie Delegation is a feature built-in to App.axie. Delegate your axie like a manager, or play with someone else’s axie like a scholar. This early release lays the foundation for reward splits in Axie games. Here’s how it works:

Note: Once delegated, both the manager and scholar will be able to view the delegated in their inventory. It will appear as ‘delegated’ in the scholar’s inventory. However, the Ronin Wallet will reflect ownership, so there is no display change upon delegation.

Direct Delegation is how managers get their axies into scholars’ hands without transferring the ownership. As a manager, Select an axie —> Click “Delegate Axie” —> Complete the Flow —> Scholar receives the delegated axie. Delegate up to 20 axies in a single transaction for 1 day, 7 days, 1 month, 3 months — or even a whole year! Revoke the delegated axie at any time. Here’s how managers can use the Direct Delegation feature:

Step 1: Go to App.axie

Step 2: Select the axie you’d like to delegate

Step 3: Click the three dots beside your axie’s name. Then, select “Delegate Axie”

Step 4: Input your scholar’s address, the delegation’s duration, and choose whether your scholar can earn Fortune Slips using your axie (if applicable)

Step 5: Click Grant permission and confirm delegation via Ronin Wallet. Done!

The Delegation Center is where Lunacians track and manage delegated and borrowed axies. Bulk delegate, revoke, and return axies from here. Think of this as the Axie Delegation headquarters.

The “Delegated to Others” tab shows managers the axies they’ve delegated. The “Delegated to Me” tab shows scholars the delegated axies they’ve received. While there is a limit of 20 axies per delegate, there is no limit to the total number of axies you can delegate.

In the future, delegation will be available in multiple Axie games like Origins, Classic, and Homeland. However, individual teams must integrate it first. That means the feature will not go LIVE across all games at the same time.

We know our community will have many questions about Axie Delegation. For example, how will Axie Delegation impact AXP earning and Leaderboard Rewards? What about the Bounty Board and Classic Guilds? In the next section, we’ll answer as many of these questions as we can. Keep in mind that this is an early version of the Delegation feature. We’re laying a foundation today so we can build better features tomorrow.

Delegate Axies Now

Upon successful delegation, managers retain key capabilities such as managing, ascending, evolving, and breeding axies, while transferring the function of playing the game with axies to scholars.

The games require some time to fully integrate all delegation features, which will be implemented as soon as possible. We released delegation close to the end of the Origins season and during the Classic offseason so that managers and guild leaders can start delegating their axies in preparation for the upcoming season.

During this initial period, managers can still play with the delegated axies. However, once the integration is complete in each respective game, only scholars will have access to play with the delegated axies.

Reward sharing or splitting won’t be integrated in this beta phase of Axie Delegation . Axies are in a unique position since they can be utilized across multiple games, each with different earning mechanics, which makes it challenging to attribute their direct contribution. We are considering several models to facilitate this mechanic in the next phase.

To help managers discover their scholars, we’ve compiled a list of the Top Scholars who have shown interest through Axie Scholar Pages. This database allows you to filter scholars based on game expertise, spoken language, number of battles in Classic, Origins, and AXS earned in Homeland since the beginning of 2024. You can reach out to them via Discord or X and simply delegate axies to their wallet addresses.

If everything goes according to plan, Homeland will be the first game to integrate Axie Delegation. Once the feature is LIVE, land owners and stewards will be able to use delegated axies as workers or in Axie Adventure. However, delegation won’t reset an axie’s Adventure Fatigue.

Pro-tip: non-land owners can also delegate axies for use in Homeland Avatar Mode.

Note: The Land Delegation Marketplace will remain active. These are two separate locations in your App.axie Dashboard.

If everything goes according to plan, Axie Delegation will go LIVE in Origins around the end of the month. When it does, axies will be able earn AXP as usual. However, there will be no Leaderboard Reward splits. That means all Leaderboard Rewards will go to scholars for now — including Collectible Axie Rewards. Scholars must also equip any Runes and Charms they’d like to use, and they will not be able to Morph their borrowed axies.

There are other implications for Meta Morph, juggling, axie cooldown periods. Check out our support article for a line-by-line breakdown of the Delegation conditions in Origins.

Similar to Origins, we plan to integrate Axie Delegation with Classic around the end of the month. Again, AXP earning will be available but Leaderboard Reward splits will not. There will also be unique implications for guilds who delegate axies, which you can learn more about here 👇

Once Axie Delegation goes LIVE, you’ll be able to complete quests and earn rewards using delegated axies! However, only quests related to games will be available to scholars — quests relating to axie ownership will not. For example, a scholar can earn Bounty Board points redeemable for AXS by winning a match in Origins. However, they will not earn Bounty Board points from quests like “Feed 1 Premium Cocochoco to any evolved Mystic axie that you own” — even though they may be holding a delegated collectible axie.

More Game Integration Info

Axie Delegation is more than a new feature: it’s the return of Axie’s scholarship model that ignited a movement. This early release is an important step towards a more accessible axie ecosystem. Soon, anyone will be able to play Axie games — whether they own an axie or not. Let’s keep pushing!

Q: Can I delegate my collectible axie to user A then delegate the Fortune Slips from that collectible axie separately to a different user B?

A: Yes, collectible axies and associated Fortune Slips can be delegated separately as long as you chose to omit the slips in the axie delegation.

Q: Can user A still earn slips when they delegated the collectible axie to user B?

A: It depends. Both YES and NO are possible.

Yes, if user A does not allow user B to earn slips during the delegation settings.

No, if user A allows user B to earn slips during the delegation settings.

Q: Can my scholar earn slips right away if I allow them to earn slips on my delegation settings?

A: No, scholars can only earn slips after 24 hours.

Q: Will I be affected if I delegate my collectible axies but don’t allow scholars to earn slips?

A: Yes, the owner will still be affected and will need to wait 24 hours before they can earn slips with the axie if they have delegated that collectible axie.

Q: Can a scholar receive delegated axies from multiple owners?

A: Yes, a scholar can receive delegated axies from multiple owners.

Q: Can an owner delegate a single axie to multiple users?

Q: Can I revoke the delegation instantly after proceeding in case I want to change my mind?

A: No, you can only revoke after 24 hours.

Q: Can a scholar revoke the delegation?

A: No, scholars do not have the power to revoke delegation.

Q: Can a scholar unlock Bounty Board’s requirement of owning 3 axies with only delegated axies?
