Atia’s Legacy Playtest 2 is LIVE! Six months ago, ~1,000 Lunacians took their first steps through the wild forests of Lunacia. You told us what felt good. You told us what didn’t. We listened.
Combat has been rebuilt. A brand-new dungeon mode has been added. Two new bosses are waiting for you. If you’ve been following the story in Codex Season 1, you already know one of them.
Over the next two weeks, Lunacians who signed up for Playtest 2 will receive their access codes via email on a first-come, first-served basis. New players will be let in daily in batches, so keep an eye on your inbox for your unique code.
Welcome to the second Atia’s Legacy playtest! Here’s everything that’s changed.
We heard your feedback from Playtest 1 loud and clear. Playtest 2 introduces major changes to how combat feels, what you can do, and how far you can push your skills.
The biggest change in Playtest 2 is how you fight. Combat has been rebuilt around single axie control. You now command one axie with a basic attack, an ultimate ability, and a dash button. No more juggling multiple axies at once and being forced to use Tripp. Auto Combat has been removed entirely. This is full manual play.
The result? A higher skill ceiling, more responsive controls, and combat that feels like yours.
Alongside all the weapons and skills from Playtest 1, Playtest 2 introduces five brand-new weapons, each with their own unique skills:
Dagger: Dash and teleport for fast, agile strikes.
Talisman: Fire homing projectiles from a distance.
Lantern: Hybrid damage dealer with area-of-effect bursts.
Flute: Support weapon that heals allies and damages enemies.
Tome: Ranged magic nuker with crowd control.
We encourage playtesters to experiment with as many combinations as possible. Farm monsters for gold, buy gear, and get stronger as you push deeper. The right build could mean the difference between victory and defeat in the dungeon.
Beneath the forests of Garuda Grove, old passages have reopened. The Sapidae say the land shifts when something beneath it wakes. Whether it’s treasure or threat down there depends on how far you’re willing to go.
This brand-new dungeon mode features 10 stages of escalating difficulty with two modes: Casual and Hardcore. Each stage gives you a 3-minute window to defeat all enemies before time runs out. Every 3 stages, you’ll face a boss.
Here’s where it gets interesting: after clearing a stage, you choose. Extract your rewards and leave safely, or press forward into the next stage for bigger loot. But be warned: if you fail, you lose everything you’ve earned.
Bonus: Clear all 10 stages in Hardcore mode and earn an exclusive badge to prove you conquered the dungeon.
What does endgame PvE look like in Atia’s Legacy? The dungeon mode is one answer the team is exploring, built around risk. The adrenaline of pushing deeper with a pile of loot on the line. The satisfaction of a perfect extract. The sting of losing it all, and the urge to run it back immediately. That loop is what the team is testing.
Playtest 2 introduces two formidable new enemies:
Own a Mystic axie? You can bring it into this playtest and see it in action! Mystic axies come with exclusive visuals that stand out on the battlefield and have slightly higher stats than other axies. This is your chance to see your rarest axies in action the way they were meant to be played.
Remember: Atia’s Legacy is in active development. The purpose of this playtest is to gather feedback on the new combat system, the dungeon mode, and overall feel. Think you can clear all 10 stages of the dungeon faster than anyone? The 10 fastest completion times of the Hardcore mode by the end of the playtest will earn bAXS and Spirit Clay.
