The Axie Vibeathon is LIVE! Every Axie game began as a simple question. What if Axies battled? What if they farmed, raced, or explored? Turning ideas like these into a real game used to take months of work and a team of engineers. That has changed.

The Axie Vibeathon gives you one challenge: build a playable Axie game and show what Axie Core can become. You bring the idea, and AI coding tools help you build it.

Here is how to take part.

What is Axie Vibeathon

The Axie Vibeathon is a two-round online event where you build your own playable Axie game, centered on Axie Core.

Each builder enters as an individual and builds one game. Host it wherever you like, then submit the link. The game stays on your hosting, so the platform links to it and never runs it.

You do not need to be a programmer to join. With a clear idea and direction, AI tools can help you turn it into something playable. Whether this is your first game or you already know your way around an engine, choose the tools that best fit your idea. The goal is the same for everyone: make a game people enjoy.

How to join

Sign in: Register with your Sky Mavis Account. One entry per builder.

Build and host your game: Publish a playable build on a hosting service you control.

Submit your best version: Add your game link, thumbnail, and details, then finalize your entry.

Follow the results: Approved games appear in the gallery, and finalists are contacted directly.

When you finalize, you receive an on-screen receipt with the exact time of your entry. You can finalize a newer version before the deadline, and your latest valid entry counts as the official one.

Sign in and start building. Registration closes on September 7

Submit a playable prototype, your vision for the complete game, and a credible Axie Core fit.

Up to eight finalists advance to Round 2, chosen on quality.

Finalists build the complete game loop and approved ecosystem integrations.

Finalists present their games, and the winners are announced.

20,000 bAXS community prize pool: shared across winners, finalists, and standout prototypes.

250 USDC AI tool support: AI-tool support for every Round 2 finalist, up to eight builders.

Reach the finals with a strong game to earn build support, then compete for your share of the pool.

Winning ideas can become standalone Axie games or integrate directly into the Axie ecosystem, with the chance to keep building it alongside the Sky Mavis team.

Promising Prototype: a 500 bAXS Round 1 bonus for a strong entry that doesn’t reach Round 2. Recognition only.

Note: No winner, finalist, or recognized prototype is automatically entitled to a production pathway.

A finished entry includes:

A project title and a one-sentence pitch

Short and full descriptions

A thumbnail

A playable game link that opens in a new tab

Controls and first-play instructions

A repository link, which can stay private

A fallback demo video

You’ll also note which AI tools you used and how your game fits Axie Core.

New to game development? Start with the Get Started guide, which walks you from choosing an idea to building, playtesting, and submitting your game.

The Builder Resource Kit includes ready-to-use Axie assets, the Origins Battle Kit, engine guides, Sky Mavis API setup, and optional advanced tools.

The Three.js Axie Mixer is available in beta but may not work smoothly in every setup. We recommend using the ready-to-use 3D models for initial prototypes.

For questions or help, join the Vibeathon channels in the Axie Discord.

Before scoring, every entry goes through eligibility and safety screening. Each valid entry then receives three independent judge scores. Up to eight finalists advance to Round 2, and only if they meet the approved quality, eligibility, and safety requirements.

This is the first iteration of the Axie Vibeathon. We’re starting with the Lunacian community to get the foundation right: the tools, the format, and the path from an idea to a published Axie game.

What you build here shapes what comes next. Future editions will grow from this one, and the strongest ideas can become lasting Axie experiences.

The next great Axie game could be yours to build.

We look forward to playing it, Lunacians.
