Axie Classic Competitive Season 9 is LIVE! Enter the area until May 28th for a chance to win part of the 35K AXS in rewards up for grabs. This season also marks the debut of Part Evolution utility in Classic. Here’s what’s new:

Play Classic

Battle it out between May 7th and May 28th at 00:00 UTC for a chance to stack AXS rewards through the Guild Leaderboard and Guild Milestones. Mini Tournaments will also run from May 8th to June 5th, featuring a daily 700 AXS prize pool. Here are all of the rewards up for grabs:

Guild Leaderboard Total Prize Pool: 10,000 AXS

Season Champion Prize Pool: 3,000 AXS

Guild Milestone Rewards: 3,000 AXS

Mini Tournament Rewards: 700 AXS per day

Total Rewards: Over 35 000 AXS

Think you have what it takes to seize the top spot this season? Face off against the Top 16 Players in the Season Championship where an extra 3,000 AXS will be on the line. The season champion will even qualify for the Axie Classic World Cup! Here’s how the championship will work:

Double elimination format

Players must submit 13 axies

Drafting phase before each match will ban 4 axies from each player

All matches are Best-of-Five (BO5)

Championship is Best-of-Seven (BO7)

Note: Guild Wars rules will be the same as the Season Championships’ — 13 axies and 4 bans. More information for GW3 will shared soon.

Earn extra rewards including collectible axies, Artifacts, and Gold by progressing in-game while holding one of these passes. Battle Passes are FREE, while Premium Passes only cost 1.5K Gems through Ronin Waypoint. Hold Passes —> Win battles —> Get rewards. Tier 1: Origin axie + 30 AXS (1 winner)

Tier 2: Japanese axie + 15 AXS (3 winners)

Tier 3: Nightmare axie + 7 AXS (5 winners)

Tier 4: Summer axie + 3 AXS (30 winners)

Tier 5: Floor axie + 1 AXS (300 winners)

Players can now configure the option to enable card level 2 in private tournament creation settings

Removed the Collectible Coliseum board

Removed the “Delete” button in guilds; guild deletion requests will now be submitted instead

Fixed the card “Vegan Diet” at level 2 to no longer count itself or a chain

Fixed an issue where adjusting a card for an axie in Team 1 would cause incorrect card selections when creating Team 2

Fixed Grub Explode (Level 2) so it no longer takes effect on Round 4 (now activates starting from Round 5)

Improved battle log information: artifacts and gear used in battles are now displayed.
