In January, we launched Land Delegation and NFT axies gameplay in Homeland. The Homeland Beta launch followed and set the stage for this exciting adventure. Let’s shout it from the rooftops: Homeland Avatar Mode is for everyone! Whether you own land or not, you can dive into this new feature simply by owning an axie. This is at the heart of our design, to ensure that every Lunacian can take part in the excitement and exploration of Homeland. Now let’s dig into the details.
Homeland Avatar Mode lets you roam the lush landscapes and bustling villages of Lunacia as your axie. Travel and visit plots and vibrant villages, like Goldenwind, Evergreen, Winterblue, and Hazymoon. Meet other Lunacians and chat in general, local, and world channels.
We’ve had our successful Avatar Mode Open Beta Test from July 17th to 24th. Thank you to everyone who participated. Please note that all account data from the Open Beta Test has been reset. Everyone will start fresh with a new account creation during the official launch.
Getting started is simple and intuitive:
Choose Your Avatar: Select your favorite NFT axie to represent you in Homeland Avatar Mode. Everyone who owns an axie can access this feature, regardless of whether they have a land plot or not. You can only choose one axie at a time. You can also replace your chosen axie if you want.
Explore and Visit:
Discover what your fellow Lunacians have built. Walk through their gardens and structures, and perhaps even pick up some inspiration for your own plot.
Each of the four villages—Goldenwind, Evergreen, Winterblue, and Hazymoon—has its own charm. Walk through the bustling village of Goldenwind. Then, take a serene walk in the Evergreen forests. Enjoy the snowy beauty of Winterblue and soak in the mystical feel of Hazymoon. These main villages aren’t just for show. They will be the central hub for our social experiences and events.
For those who prefer faster travel, use portals scattered throughout the Homeland. Leap from one location to another, cover more ground, and see more sights in less time.
Our Lunacian exploration just leveled up! Meet the noctids, Lunacia’s fascinating wildlife. We’ll soon be able to interact with these creatures, but first, read their lore below.
On the planet Lunacia, you’ll discover many fascinating creatures hidden away in the forests and lakes. Tucked away on the highest mountain tops and in the crevices of the deepest ravines. You might hear the sapidae refer to these creatures as noctids. There are thousands of varieties of wild noctids on Lunacia, for their forms were only limited by the imagination of Noma—the goddess who created life on Lunacia. Legend has it that she fell asleep on the ancient barren rock of a planet for three centuries and when she woke from a vivid dream, she brought back all of these mysterious creatures from the dream realm! The noctids have thrived on Lunacia ever since, living peacefully with the sapidae and axies.

We’re also adding Avatar Mode quests to the Premier Bounty Board! Next week, watch out for bounties from these quests. The quests will be under the Homeland category. Some of these new quests will not require you to have land plot or play as a steward. Remember, you can access Avatar Mode if you own an axie.

Get ready for a wild adventure across Lunacia! From July 31, 3:00 PM UTC to August 14, 1:00 AM UTC, our villages will be overrun by playful creatures in need of a friend. Meet the wild noctids! Yes, we’ll be able to interact with these creatures in Lunacia. Can you be the one to win their trust and claim exciting rewards?
The lucky whisperers who charm these wild noctids will have a chance to win some spectacular prizes. At stake are the coveted Land Items — imagine adorning your plot with the enigmatic Phantom Altars or the futuristic R0N1N-21! But that’s not all. You could also get a glittering pile of 0.01 AXS or 0.1 AXS, or a shower of 20 or 100 SLP.
Our furry (and not so furry) friends will make their appearances three times daily: at 1:00 AM UTC, 8:00 AM UTC, and 3:00 PM UTC.
Step 1: When you spot a wild Noctid, be quick to interact with it!
Step 2: If you’re successful, it will follow your avatar for 15 heart-pounding seconds.
Step 3: But watch out! Other Lunacians can swoop in and steal your new friend. The game of tag continues until the 15 seconds are up.
Step 4: Be the last avatar standing with the wild Noctid, and you’ll receive a system message with a Ronin Gift Portal link to claim your prize!
During each of these windows, expect five waves of Noctids to appear every 30 minutes. That’s 15 chances each day to join the chase!

Calling all landowners and stewards! It’s time to turn your land plot into the hottest destination in Lunacia. From July 31 to August 14, we’re hosting the most exciting community event in Homeland yet — the Plot Party!
This is your chance to get your plot design on the spotlight. Imagine your plot becoming the talk of Lunacia, a must-visit hotspot that draws axies from every corner of Homeland. That’s what Plot Party is all about. We’re challenging land owners to make the most enticing, jaw-dropping, and fun plots. For our Lunacian explorers, get ready for a two-week adventure filled with discovery and wonder.
The top 50 plot with the highest visit counts will share in a massive 1,000,000 Ancient Coins prize pool! That’s right — your creativity and hospitality could earn you a stash of Ancient Coins. Here’s the breakdown of the rewards:
Note: Any form of automation, botting, or similar activities will result in exclusion from the rewards.

Q: Can I steal another’s Noctid from far away, or do I have to move close to it to steal it?
A: You have to be very near to the Noctid to be able to steal it.
Q: If someone takes my Noctid before the 15-second timer is over, will the timer reset?
A: Yes, the timer will reset every time someone steals the Noctid.
Q: Will these Noctids stay forever until someone claims the gift?
A: All the unclaimed Noctids will disappear after the 30-minute mark.
Q: If I have a Noctid following me but the 15-second timer is not over when we hit the 30-minute mark, will I still receive the reward?
A: Yes.
Q: How do I know if I have received the reward?
A: You will see a message in the system chat with a clickable link to claim the gift.
Q: How do I claim the gift?
A: Click on the gift link shown in the system chat, and you will be redirected to the Ronin Gifting Portal. Press “Claim your Gift.” Connect your Ronin Wallet and sign the transaction. Your gift should arrive in your wallet shortly.
Q: Are the leaderboard rewards account-based or plot-based?
A: Leaderboard rewards are plot-based. Rewards are based on visit count per plot.
Q: How are rewards from the Plot Party split between Steward and Landowner?
A: The stewards and landowners will split rewards earned during the Plot Party according to their delegation contract at the end of the event, depending on the rank placement on the leaderboard.
Q: Will transferring the ownership/stewardship of the plot affect the reward split? A: No, the rewards will only be given to the players holding the plot at the end of the event. (This means that if you transfer the plot to another account before the end of the event and that plot is in the top 50 to receive the reward, the reward will be given to the last owner. Similarly, if the stewardship is terminated/transferred before the end of the event and that plot is in the top 50, the reward will only be given to the new owner, whether it is the landlord or the new steward.)
Q: How can I see the total visit count that I have on my plot?
A: The total visit count will not be displayed in-game, but rather it can be seen here.
Q: When will we start/end the counting of the visits we have on the plot?
A: The start of the count is from July 31, 10 AM UTC, and the end is August 14, 7 AM UTC.
Q: How do I redeem mAXS from this event?
A: Event rewards will be distributed through Ancient Coins, and players have to redeem them via the Claim Token Page on App.Axie. More details can be found here.
