How we took Crypto to the University of Abuja

In July 2025, we kicked off our first-ever Busha Campus Invasion at the University of Abuja, and it was more than just a visit; it was an experience.

Over two exciting days (July 16–17), we met and engaged with hundreds of students at the Faculty of Social Sciences, talking about money, independence, and the everyday use of digital assets.

Why we did it

At Busha, our goal is simple: to help young Africans understand how to use digital money to save, earn, and grow. That’s why we launched this campus invasion, to bring the conversation closer to students, right where they are.

What went down

We created fun and valuable ways for students to learn about crypto without needing a finance degree. Here’s a quick look at how it all played out:

Spin the Wheel: Students completed easy tasks like downloading the Busha app or posting content to spin and win prizes.Scavenger Hunt: We hid branded merch across the faculty, and those who found them didn’t just walk away with cool gear; they also won 10 USDT.Over ₦1M in prizes: From airtime to USDT and exclusive Busha items, we gave back to the students who showed up, participated, and got involved.

What students said

Throughout the event, we recorded short interviews and clips where students shared their thoughts on crypto, how they think it fits into their lives, and what financial freedom means to them.

Many said it was their first time trying a crypto product, and they walked away with not just rewards, but also a better understanding of how digital money can work for them.

What’s next?

UniAbuja is just the beginning. The Busha Campus Invasion will be heading to more schools across Africa soon. We’ll keep showing up, having conversations, and sharing tools that can help students take charge of their money, one campus at a time.
