NFL Rivals, the officially licensed mobile game of the NFL and NFL Players Association, has announced a partnership with the Kansas City Chiefs, the current Super Bowl LVIII champions, to make NFL Rivals the “Official Mobile Game of the Chiefs” for the 2024 NFL season.

The partnership, set to begin with the start of the NFL season, marks the NFL Rivals’ Year 2 and will feature a variety of fan engagement activities such as tailgate events, branding within the stadium, and sweepstakes giving fans the chance to win VIP experiences at Chiefs’ home games at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

This will conclude with a special Rivals-themed Chiefs game, where select fans will be awarded tickets.

What is NFL Rivals?

NFL Rivals is a free-to-play sports game built with blockchain technology, where players take on the role of an NFL general manager. In the game, players can assemble and manage a team of NFL stars and features a system for collecting NFTs, allowing users to build and trade their rosters.

NFL Rivals is the first mobile game officially licensed by the NFL to integrate digital ownership features. As it enters its second season, the game has crossed over 5 million downloads and has seen over 115 million games played.

“After our massively successful inaugural season of NFL Rivals, we’re thrilled to partner with the Kansas City Chiefs, one of the NFL’s most storied and successful franchises,” said John Linden, CEO at Mythical Games. “This partnership with my hometown team couldn’t make me happier.”

“We are thrilled to have NFL Rivals joining our family as the Official Mobile Game of the Chiefs,” said Kim Hobbs, Vice President of partnership strategy and development at the Kansas City Chiefs. “We remain focused on reaching fans wherever they engage and consume the NFL, and mobile gaming is a growing market, especially amongst our young fans.”

The game is available for download from the App Store and Google Play Store.
