During the Rare Era, a wave of Bubble teams kicked off the meta — but players soon adapted. Feathers. Anemones. Jinx. Poison. Even sleep-focused teams popped up thanks to our newest starter axie, Mít! This is just the beginning of Season 8, and we’re excited to share what the Epic Era has in store. Let’s jump in!
In Origins S8, we put about 81K AXS up for grabs through Leaderboard Rewards. During the Epic Era, battle it out for 30% of those rewards — or a whopping 24.3K AXS! Check out the restocked Origins Shop, pick up some Runes and Charms, count your scraps… and get ready for battle. Here’s an overview of the S8 Leaderboard Rewards:
Note: Players can now receive their AXS rewards at the end of each era instead of waiting until the end of the season. You’ll be able to claim your rewards on App.Axie soon. Read our previous announcement for more details.
Earlier this year, we teased our plans for new Gauntlet Mode in Origins. Today, Gauntlet Mode is going LIVE! Earn Moonshards and AXP by winning games during a Gauntlet Session. This is a limited-time game mode running from April 17th 3:00:00 UTC to April 29th 3:00:00 UTC. Here’s how to get started:
Step 1: Select Gauntlet Mode and pay the 500 Moonshard entry fee. Each entry also consumes 1 Stamina.
Step 2: Choose 1 buff from the 3 random options displayed on the screen. This buff will apply to all axies on your team for the duration of the battle. Players only have 15 seconds to pick their buff!
Step 3: Battle it out against your opponent in the Origins arena!
Step 4: Repeat steps 2 and 3 against new opponents until the end of your Gauntlet session.
A Gauntlet session ends once a player wins 7 games or loses 2 games.
Every Win: 250 AXP and 50 Moonshards
Every Loss: 50 AXP and 0 Moonshards
Every Draw: 150 AXP and 25 Moonshards
1st win – no additional reward
2nd win – 600 additional Moonshards
3rd win – 800 additional Moonshards
4th win – 1000 additional Moonshards
5th win – 1200 additional Moonshards
6th win – 1500 additional Moonshards
7th win – 2000 additional Moonshards
7th win with no loses – 3000 additional Moonshards
We’re excited to introduce this new feature in Origins, and give players more opportunities to earn rewards in Origins. Score Moonshards and AXP through Gauntlet Mode and take home AXS from the Origins Leaderboard and the Bounty Board — and wait, there’s more. Let’s talk about Collectible Chests.
Collectible axies holders get access to a variety of rewards in Lunacia. The ability to receive Fortune Slips. Unlimited Coco caps for Mystics. Entrance into the Collectible Coliseum in Classic. During the Origins S8 Epic Era, these lucky Lunacians will also receive Collectible Chests if they finish at a Dragon Rank or higher!
Imagine a digital collectible that also functions as a battle pass. This was our inspiration behind Collectible Chest rewards. The highest tier of collectible axie you hold determines your AXS bonus, which rewards the most dedicated collectors in Lunacia. Collectors should receive their Rare Era Collectible Chests soon.
Note: Collectible axies must be in your account before the start of the Era and remain in your account until the end of era to be eligible for Collectible Chests.
